Greetings, friends!
Welcome to Branch and Bristle Broom Company. We are a small, women-owned Central Florida broomery. We specialize in hand wound, fully functional brooms made in the traditional Appalachian and Shaker styles.
By reviving these time honored techniques, we hope to reintroduce natural, handmade products to a world of mass-produced microplastics. All of our brooms are handmade of natural dried broomcorn, a type of grass related to sorghum. The variations of each individual broomcorn stalk provides a uniquely functional sweep to tackle any mess from large debris to the finest dust.
We offer brooms in all sizes for all needs. From small ornaments, to hardworking handhelds, to full-size riders, we do it all. Often inspired by characters from human history, mythology and pop culture, many of our brooms feature hand-dyed bristles in a variety of colors and are adorned with natural gemstones, charms, and woven accents.
We also offer custom designs! We invite you to reach out with any questions.

Did you know that we have been using broomcorn since the late 1700’s when it was discovered that this natural grass fiber was highly effective at capturing dirt?
Folklore suggests that placing a broom across the threshold or over a doorway can prevent evil spirits from entering the home.
A new broom for a new home symbolizes a fresh start, a clean slate, and good fortune.
